Records show Texas Attorney General Paxton has taken 82 more out-of-state trips with a taxpayer-funded security detail than Gov. Greg Abbott — and nearly as many as the governor and lieutenant governor combined.

—London during America’s 250th
—19 countries with taxpayer-funded security
Where Ken Paxton won’t go:

Sometimes, when you are living through and taking part in history, you don't always fully recognize the magnitude of the moment. For us, this is that moment.
These next three weeks present most of us with the deepest civic obligation that we will face in our lifetimes. Let’s look back on what we did at this pivotal moment in our country's history with pride and tell our kids and our grandkids that we stood up and we met the moment — that we made the difference history demanded of us.

Three months ago today, ICE murdered Johan Sebastián Guerrero on the streets of Biddeford.
Senator Collins said she was going to get ICE out of Maine, but instead handed over $70 billion to them without guardrails or accountability. Mainers are ready to hold her accountable.
The Smithsonian does not belong to the President, to the Administration, or to any politician. It belongs to the American people.
Period.
We’re here today to say Hands Off the Smithsonian!
Ossoff: The Mar-a-Lago mafia really has taken American corruption to spectacular new heights. But Athens, corruption in American politics runs a lot deeper than Donald Trump.
And, see, I get why people voted for him. Because even before he came on the scene, American politics was coin-operated. Money goes in, favors come out. It's been running on corporate money, secret money, billionaire money. Both sides.
And when members of Congress aren't fundraising from lobbyists and corporate PACs, they're trying to dodge getting bombed by these super PACs. Spectacular wealth buys an ever greater share of power over our national affairs. And this corruption is why nothing works for ordinary people.
Ken Paxton got a $250,000 donation from the chair of Texas Tech’s Board of Regents.
The next day, he threatened to sue the Big 12 to protect Brendan Sorsby, the Tech quarterback who was caught illegally betting on his games.
Ken Paxton is the most corrupt politician in Texas.
A majority of Mainers say Susan Collins votes with Donald Trump too often.
That’s because when the stakes are highest, she keeps helping him deliver an agenda that makes life harder for working people.
Maine deserves a senator who will fight for us instead.
Susan Collins lied to Mainers. She helped destroy Roe v. Wade, she advanced Trump's $990 billion Medicaid cuts, and she gave ICE $70 billion continue its rogue terror campaign.
Together, we will replace her with a Senator who gives a damn about working people in this country.
In the 143 days since the Iran war began, we’ve lost American lives, costs have skyrocketed, and Ashley Moody has voted for it to continue nine times.
Something that shouldn’t have started in the first place has gone on far too long — I’m a hell no on forever wars.
Happy 4th to President Trump, who can effectively pursue his new anti-Communist campaign by not sending any more love letters to Kim Jong Un, the “top of the line” Communist dictator of North Korea with whom he has “great chemistry”; not lavishing praise on President Xi, the “top of the line, brilliant” Communist dictator of China; and not serving dictator Vladimir Putin, former head of the KGB, by calling him “very smart” and his bloody imperialist moves against Ukraine “genius,” and by bolstering Putin’s campaign against our democratic allies in NATO. Anticommunism is easy, Mr. President, when you start defending human rights and stop fawning over Communist tyrants! https://t.co/3TtF9bFrZc
This is staggering: The DOJ dropped an important criminal case into contaminated formula that may have sickened and killed kids.
Decisions like this, which place corporations and their profits above the safety and wellbeing of the public, are the product of a broken Justice Department.
When the Senate returns, I will be launching an inquiry into this. It warrants serious scrutiny from the Congress, including into the potential conflict of interest when a corporate defense firm is also a law firm promising pro bono work for Trump.
Ashley Moody didn’t win this seat — she was appointed.
Since taking office, she’s been nothing but a rubber stamp for this administration, even when it hurts our state.
As Senator, I’ll be an independent voice for Floridians, and I’ll always put you first.
Jon Ossoff: “Our national greatness flows not through our blood or our genes, but through our ideas and our care for one another. Americans aren’t a race, we’re a people. United not by ethnicity, but by shared convictions and that is what makes us exceptional”
There is a new development tied to the Epstein case that the Trump Administration is hoping you won’t see.
Ghislaine Maxwell is serving 20 years for helping Jeffrey Epstein sexually abuse and traffic children. Last year, she got a private meeting with Todd Blanche — the man Trump nominated to be the top law enforcement officer in the United States.
Nobody has explained why. What we do know is what happened next: Maxwell was moved to a lower-security prison. One that, under federal rules, is not supposed to house sex offenders.
That was a clear violation of federal policy. So last month, the DOJ quietly changed the rules to give the Attorney General the power to transfer any inmate, anywhere, without explanation.
The goal is clear: change the policy now, so that when questions come, Blanche can point to it and say he was authorized all along. That is not a legal defense. It’s a COVER UP.
