Had an amazing time at @ReactAdvanced last Friday! Met so many talented people in the React community 🙌 Thanks, everyone 💪
Excited to be speaking on mobile E2E testing soon — catch it live at https://t.co/COlpsGNimW
FlatList slows down React Native apps. 🐌
This is nothing new, but when targeting lower-spec devices, such as TVs, you've got to be super careful.
Our team built a specific carousel/list component for TVs, and it lowers CPU usage by around 25% compared to FlatList 🤯🏎️
At @bam_lab, we FINALLY open-sourced all our work with #reactnative on TV. It is called react-tv-space-navigation, and we wrote an article about it.
You can find it here: https://t.co/rieOHIUyuK
Many thanks to @mat_fdg and Alexandre Colas for all the work involved :)
There are no less than 3 package managers involved to manage the #iOS dependencies of our #reactNative apps 🤯
Let’s check out who manages whom 👇🧵
TLDR:
pods are managed by @CocoaPods
CocoaPods is a gem managed by Bundler
Bundler is a gem managed by @RubyGems
Hang in there💪
