Remotely Operated Minefield Breaching Platform.
WEEVIL combines our proven Full-Width Mine Plough with our newly developed BEACON Remote Control System, eliminating the need for personnel to operate in hazardous minefields, significantly reducing risk to life.
In modern conflict environments, mines are deliberately scattered extensively to disrupt manoeuvre forces during operations. Traditional breaching platforms require crewed operation in these dangerous conditions, creating a critical capability gap.
WEEVIL addresses this challenge by:
️ Adapting the Warrior Infantry Fighting Vehicle from a combat platform into an optionally crewed robotic asset
✔️ Integrating BEACON to convert legacy platforms into remotely-operated systems
✔️ Maximising the life and value of existing military platforms while enhancing safety and operational tempo.
This innovation represents a significant step forward in combat engineering, delivering greater force protection and greater agility on the battlefield.
📍 Discover more about our BEACON Remote Control System and our collaboration on WEEVIL at DSEI UK between 9th and 12th September 2025. Visit us at stand N2-310.

It's been ten years since Pearson Engineering relocated to the Armstrong Works site on Scotswood Road.
Armstrong Works holds a rich legacy of British engineering excellence, having produced tanks, automobiles, locomotives, and aircraft, including components for the iconic Spitfire.
We're proud to build on this history with our manufacturing hub which serves our live-saving front-end equipment, as well as products that help people to 'defend, power and explore the world' across rail and energy.

Enabling safer combat engineering tasks.
RCV-Pioneer supports efforts to distance soldiers from 'dull, dirty and dangerous tasks' whilst also enhancing engineering capabilities, significantly increasing safety and effectiveness during military operations.
Our range of mission payloads can easily be integrated with RCVs to support specific missions including obstacle clearance, route proving, minefield breaching and assault gap crossing.

Last week 22 Engineer Regiment visited Pearson Engineering at Armstrong Works.
Those in the regiment are valued users of our Route Opening Mine Plough, Surface Clearance Device and Combat Dozer Blade.
During their visit, the regiment shared their expertise with our employees from across various departments, who were eager to learn more about the life of a Sapper. The combat engineering group toured Armstrong Works, learning more about the manufacturing process of the equipment they use, and may use in the future, from initial cut of metal to final assembly and testing.
We would like to thank 22 Engineer Regiment for taking the time to travel over 300 miles away from their barracks to join us at Armstrong Works.

A recent one for #sappersaturday and the Barker Crossing, 2009 in Workington, Cumbria. In response to flooding that washed away the bridges and left the town separated, 3 AES part of @22EngrRegt@25CSEngrGp deployed as the construction force.

@ArmouredSapper @TomWait38036289 @Pearson_Eng_Ltd To be fair, over the past couple of weeks, we’ve dug up a fair old bit of the plain. Funny how a Div Exercise has a bit more sway with DIO……

Recently, in Estonia, members of our #SapperFamily in the @estNATO conducted a simultaneous crossing of the Valgejogi River, for the first time. This was to support the Battlegroup to manoeuvre across the battlefield. Great work! 💪
