More pro than anti: pro poverty reduction; pro evidence, science and reason; pro international development; pro Europe & anti-Brexit. Part-time rock'n'roller.
So Trump has said, “I’m sure he is going to be fine, he’s a strong man, a strong person.”
Given Trump's record, that's a death sentence for Boris, then...
"Concerted effort in the establishment against her..."
WTF? She IS the Establishment! She's got Boris and Gove on her side; they ARE the Establishment!
She's a bully and a deeply flawed politician who frankly shouldn't be where she is, and wouldn't be if Brexit hadn't happened.
It is good that Andrew Sabisky has quit. Eugenics has no place in government. However, by refusing to condemn these views, Boris Johnson revealed so much about his own character.

The challenges that Europe faces, and the opportunities that it can grasp, have not changed because of #Brexit. As part of this, we want to have the best possible relationship with the UK. But it will never be as good as membership. #NewBeginnings 🇪🇺🇬🇧
@ApesPlague@kmirandalondon Even if she might argue this editing 'took her words out of context'... well, it didn't. Flat out appalled. Watched it with my jaw steadily dropping further.
Amazing picture. Impossible to square reality with the horrible portrayal of the EU as some sort of enemy of the U.K. By the time we realised the damage done, it was too late to fix. At least we win lower food standards, slower growth, closures, price increases & fewer freedoms!
Due to the lies, cheating & breaking the law, the name calling, the threats, the intimidation & gloating, I will never give you my losers consent, I will never give up my democratic right to oppose this abhorrent act of national self harm.
This is #NotMyBrexit & never will be.
@JohnGHart@MiftyJackson "Great, we've left the EU! So much 'freedom' I can taste it! So, what are we going to do with it?"
Long, long, uncomfortable silence.
"Plans, anyone? Any plans?"
[Sound of breeze whispering across the plain.]
"Bollocks."
I'm afraid there can be no 'getting over' this, not for me. It's too big; it's too important; it was a 'victory' that was won with too many lies, too much viciousness, too much anti-democratic bullshit. I can't let it go; we shouldn't let it go. Brexit is bullshit, simple as.
I'm looking for an honest answer.
I'm finding it very difficult to 'move on' or to unite with Brexit people.
An ex partner has given you a really nasty STD, you are not going to get on one knee and propose.....
Am I the only one who can't get over it?
@Jaysmithjay We've come a long way in our understanding of mental health, and it's great. Yet there is still the remnant of the old ideas out there: mental health is 'not real' (i.e. you're just a slacker); or 'not important' (i.e. 'pull your socks up, what have u got to worry about etc).
Of course Trump will put US first. ANY American President would. They cannot put any other country's interests first... Nothing about Brexit or anything else affects that.
Size matters in trade negotiations.
The US is bigger than the UK.
The EU is bigger than the UK.
Result?
#LittleEnglandDay 🏴
💥Trump to put interests of corporate America first
💥UK to pay higher prices for US drugs
💥“Impossible” to get deal through Congress by end of 2020
💥Doubtful UK has resources for parallel negotiations with US and EU

The warmth and dignity displayed by the MEP's in contrast to the pathetic flag waving of our own politicians made me ashamed.
What have we done?
I'm sure there will be many people in the country who identify themselves as European and who are horrified about Brexit.
