I had just arrived at UBC as a postdoctoral fellow in 2020 during the COVID pandemic when James saw the update on Twitter. Having closely followed my journey from Nigeria to South Korea, Germany, and Canada, he reached out and played an important role in helping us settle and integrate into our new environment.

Over the years, James has remained committed to supporting prospective students through our initiatives at Scholarships Cafe, generously sharing his experience and guidance with those pursuing international education opportunities.

@BrotherPossible I do not agree with the mob action. It is abhorrent that Christians are doing the same. But, on the other hand, I still understand when people expect Baba to speak publicly about these issues. And it has to do with the kind of influence he wields.
