My boss called me on a Thursday. Told me 400k was missing from the money delivered to his house. Then asked if I delivered the complete amount. I said yes. He said okay and the call ended. That was a week after I delivered it.

My boss was the kind of man who only spent mint notes. Fresh from the bank, always. His house never stopped moving, family, visitors, religious leaders coming and going. I was the one he trusted with money. Had handled millions before and never once a problem.
That day I delivered 2 million in 200 naira notes to his 15 year old son. Exactly as instructed, the boy took the bag and walked straight to his room. He didn't count a single note. I didn't think much of it then.
