@jasonkovacs Thanks brother. Honestly, I tend to feel like this is just not a medium I know how to contribute through but I love what so many of you are doing.
Morning family prayer is about beginning the day assuring your children that:
Today is a gift and not a curse,
God is the main doer not them,
Jesus is their salvation from sin & evil,
The Spirit strengthens and equips,
They are most fully themselves when loving others.
Sometimes a crisis hits so hard that a country needs help from others to overcome it. That’s not one-way humanitarian saviourism, it’s international solidarity. 200 South African firefighters land in Edmonton, Canada to help fight the wildfire. Sound up 🔊
Article 24: “It is a thing plainly repugnant to the Word of God, and the custom of the Primitive Church, to have public Prayer in the Church, or to minister the Sacraments in a tongue not understood by the people."
This Sunday I am going to touch on how Anglicanism's 39 Articles reject colonialism's cultural genocide of the Indigenous people of Canada's west coast. Specifically it's deliberate attack on Indigenous language.

Healthy boredom is essential for a rich creative life. I would even venture to say that boredom is essential for happiness itself. And yet the world we are creating for ourselves seems intent on pushing good, honest boredom to extinction and replacing it with mere tedium.
National Indigenous History Month is such an important part of our year at Christ’s Church Oceanside.
We embrace it to receive indigenous history and culture, unpack the traumatic relationship with the church/gov, and sow vision for how the Way of Jesus heals & reconciles all.
“The materialist impulse treats Scripture merely as an object of empirical analysis. But we dare not stare ourselves blind looking for the history behind the words, for it is the reality in (Christ) the words that we are meant to adore and worship.” - Boarsma
I went for a swim with my girls today and a full grown sea lion surfaced right behind me with a big burst of air. It just sat with its head out (2 1/2 feet wide) looking at us.
I would rather face an orca than one of those sharp toothed sea bulls. So freaky!
One of the great gifts that @timkellernyc has been to me as a pastor was to be able to recommend his teaching to those hostile, sceptical, and disenchanted with Christianity.
He helped them see the centre (Jesus) with kindness and clarity. #ThankyouTimKeller
I wasn’t anticipating how impacted I am by @timkellernyc going to Christ.
There isn’t any preacher I’ve sat under more. 1-2 sermons probably 4-5 days a week.
