yes there is volatility, however does the exchange expect renewed price interest in trading their contracts with these hikes or is this protecting the clearing firms from a player who may be in trouble?
The move in prices today felt like forced liquidation vs fundamental selling

Christians are being massacred in Syria. Churches burned. Priests executed. Families wiped out. And the West is silent. This is the greatest Christian persecution of our time—and the media won’t tell you. Let’s expose the truth. 🧵👇 1/13
This is billionaire Lynda Resnick, her family owns 60-75% of the water in California
- Her family donates HUGE amounts of money to Democrats
- She donated to stop Gavin Newsom’s recall
- They use over 150 billion gallons of water every year
- Her family was in the 1994 secret meeting that officially ended water being a public right in California
- They're the largest agricultural owners in California, and their farms use more water than all homes in Los Angeles combined
- Lynda and Stewart Resnick own Fiji Water, POM Pomegranate Juice, Wonderful Pistachios, and many other food companies
- They've faced lawsuits related to their water management practices, with allegations of profiting from selling water stored in the Kern Water Bank to non-members at a profit, violating public utility laws
- The Resnicks have been accused of using their wealth to influence water policy and politics
They pay off Democrats and Gavin Newsom specifically to keep their scam going
@adamtaggart Not too jaded! At best, they would only reduce the annual deficit so any annual deficit will still lead to a growing debt (i.e. basic accounting). The debt is beyond the point of no return unless both legislative and executive branches make substantive austerity measures.
Super depressing/alarming
"Between 1990 and 2015, some 90 percent of plastics either ended up in a landfill, were burned, or leaked into the environment. Another recent study estimates that just 5 to 6 percent are successfully recycled."
You know how we complain, rightly, that product quality has gone to the dogs?
Has anyone else stared to see same with online services?
I find myself spending way too many hours w/ crappy chatbots begging to get the service to work as promised
@BvuePD Retailers do own a large part of the problem as the the credit card processors do charge backs to the merchant. The merchant loss is nearly identical via charge back as it is with the criminal stealing and running out the door with the goods.
The US government interest payments on the Federal debt are now higher than the annual defense spending.
This is likely the initial stages of a trend, and if no solutions are implemented, other components of the fiscal agenda may soon be constrained by the escalating cost of debt.
the AI revolution is so powerful that Taiwan Semi (world's largest chpimaker) which is the sole chip supplier to NVDA and the main supplier to AAPL, QCOM and AMD reported its first revenue drop since 2019 and slashed guidance; it now expects full-year sales to decline 10%
