@TedPillows Ted - how did you learn so much on analysis? It’s impressive and I think the best out there. Would welcome knowing more about your background - probably that goes for many of us.
@AerLingus my bag did not make the connection in Dublin and instead of staging it for the next flight to IAD you manage to lose the bag. @AerLingus seems to have an antiquated bag process that cannot position a bag automatically for the next flight, cannot locate a bag during travel, and when you call for help all they offer is a process whereby they enter the claim but they deny they have zero ability to contact anyone in Dublin directly for help. Despite the AirTag showing it is in their @AerLingus area at Dublin they basically said they’ve filed the lost claim and to wait because that’s all they can do. While the helpline people have been nice, the process and capability seem extremely ineffective. Compared to other carriers who update you on your bag at every step and can provide absolutes in these situations, @AerLingus seems very behind.
Will post an update but am very disappointed so far with this first experience with this carrier.
Going on day two and they have no information to provide other than say they’ve done all they can do and to let the process continue.
Very disappointing

Hoping for a happy ending but am losing confidence now.
