@crerrity As a true Star Wars fan, all I do now is pass on the new Star Wars shows. It's painful, but I had to learn how to just ignore them. They're meaningless now. The balance between craftsmanship and profit worries from the Lucas era is gone. Craftsmanship is punished at Lucasfilm.

@crerrity While the film was running, it became clear most plot points had been changed to please the internet haters. Suddenly, the two previous films felt like a waste of time. Yup, Lucas gave up on stuff before, but he didn't chicken out on the main threads. Disney+ is a rehash of 9.

@kazumitico É, só não vale criticar o diretor por causa de um trailer bosta de uma obra que ainda nem saiu. Mesma coisa que aconteceu com o Megalopolis do Coppola, cujo trailer igualmente bosta também quase detonou tudo antes mesmo do lançamento do filme.

@McCarterShanon Yup, but it started with Solo and Episode 9. The original directors for Solo wanted a comedy, but no - it had to please "true fans". The original Episode 9 plot had Evil Kylo and Revolutionary Finn, but "true fans" would hate the idea. The Acolyte disaster is just the last straw.
