Not a soccer expert, so idk if the red card on Balogun was legit or not…
I will say this though, if that foul was worth playing 11 on 10 for a third of a game and losing your best player for the next game, then this sport just isn’t for me.
Also, stuff like this is likely part of why it hasn’t caught on as much in the US compared to the rest of the world.
@NitrousDelivery@telcoin I like following you cuz your hating is aspirational but damn dude give it a rest for a day and just be happy the thing you said wouldn’t happen this year just did.
At this point if Chris Grier trades Waddle I’m a firm believer he is just a Patriots plant that has been doing a masterclass of being mediocre enough to not get fired while sabotaging the Dolphins for 20 years.
Every coach and player preached about a culture change this season. They said that this year felt different and that anyone who wasn’t bought in is no longer on the roster.
After six weeks, it turns out none of that was true. Not only does the soft, loser culture still exist, but it’s arguably the worst it’s ever been in the history of the franchise.
Chris Grier, for years, has constructed a putrid roster with zero physicality or toughness. He believes that getting oft-injured players at a discount will allow for more overall talent to be added, but that philosophy has backfired. Our best seasons during this regime were squandered in December and January due to injuries. Thanks to Grier, Miami has earned the reputation of being the place where washed up vets can cash in for one last paycheck. He has consistently failed to address the most important areas of any football team - the trenches. No playoff wins during his tenure as GM, with the “talent” we had, is simply unacceptable.
Mike McDaniel, the “offensive genius”, is not a leader of men. His personality, attitude, and buddy-buddy approach is the main reason his players don’t respect him or the team. You can’t build a tough culture when you’re everyone’s best friend. His hirings have been subpar and leave the players totally unprepared on a weekly basis. On top of all of that, he can’t coach. His play calling has regressed, he can’t make adjustments, he still makes the same mistakes he made during his first season, and he isn’t willing to change the things that aren’t working.
Tua Tagovailoa was not, is not, and cannot be the guy. Sure, he’s a talented player. When he’s on, he’s on. There are many things he does well. Unfortunately, his lack of mobility, weak arm, inability to take over a game, and poor leadership qualities should disqualify him as our starting quarterback. The guy has thrown players, coaches, reporters, and even fans under the bus repeatedly throughout his career. He sometimes takes accountability for his poor performances, but does he ever actually do anything to fix it? This is his sixth NFL season, we have given more than a fair shot at proving to everyone he’s our guy. He has failed.
In short, Mike and Grier need to be terminated immediately. There is zero reason to continue giving them chances they don’t deserve. Tua’s situation is a bit more complicated because if his contract, but the new GM and HC need to be doing everything they can to find a replacement as soon as possible. Draft a quarterback until you find the right one, no matter how many attempts it takes.
Mr. Ross, it’s over. Start anew. Please. 🙏🏻
