Excited to have held a Youth Engagement & Dialogue Eventat @unipodssd as part of #IYD2026, in partnership with the @SouthSudanGov. We brought together ministries, the UN, CSOs, private sector & young people to explore partnerships, investment & scaling youth-led solutions.
The message was clear: Stronger partnerships. Scaled youth solutions. A stronger #SouthSudan! 🇸🇸🌍 🤝🏽. We thank all our partners & most importantly, our young people for making the day a success!

UNDP joined Government of South Sudan and the Ambassadors of France and Turkey for a vital visit to the Infectious Diseases Unit – the country’s central isolation facility for highly infectious diseases to assess readiness and identify gaps.

While South Sudan remains #Ebola-free, diseases know no borders. We're committed to strengthening preparedness and protecting communities.

Led by our Resident Representative @MohamedAbchir, we commemorated #WorldEnvironmentDay2026 with a tree-planting exercise & an Adopt-a-Tree campaign, distributing seedlings to highlight our collective efforts toward climate action.

Through the #UNDPClimatePromise, we remain committed to working with the @SouthSudanGov to advance mitigation & adaptation priorities for a more climate-resilient future! #NowForClimate

The Juba Multi-Service Training Centre (MTC) received a donation of ICT equipment to enhance service delivery & protective gear to support trainees under the Skills, Employment & Empowerment for the Development of Youth (SEED4Youth) initiative from @NLinSouthSudan.

In partnership with UNDP & the Ministry of Labour, the Youth Employment & Empowerment Programme (YEEP) & the Skills, Employment & Empowerment for the Development of Youth (SEED4Youth) projects have enabled over 25,000 young people to receive skills training in 12 trades!

We conducted a joint supervision mission with the @MoYS_SS in Malakal, Upper Nile State, for the Youth Enterprise Development & Capacity Building (YEDCB) Project. Led by the Undersecretary, Hon. Dr. Monica Agum Awet, the mission engaged with state leadership, national youth union & project beneficiaries to assess progress & impact!

Funded by @AfDB_Group, the project has provided interest-free loans to over 700 micro & small enterprises across 5 states & created 6,176 jobs, contributing to private sector growth in #SouthSudan
