Jeg har haft fornøjelsen af at samarbejde med @PFallesen og @EskilHeinesen. Bl.a. vores arbejde danner baggrunden for denne lille nyhedsartikel fra DR.
@MetodePeter@DSTdk Peter, kan du sende mig link til DSTs opgørelse over modighed? .. og jeg troede kun, det var sure gamle mænd, der brugte ord woke som et skældsord… God jul! ;-)
Professionally, very exited to see a study focusing on this and letting data speak! Personally, as a shopping parent I am in no way surprised by the findings and honestly very frustrated and saddened!
How gendered is the clothing offer for children? For our @SZ data analysis, we examined 20,000 shirts and shorts from @hmdeutschland, @Zalando and @aboutyou_com that they offer online for children under 10. The results show: Current children's fashion cements gender images. 🧵
Very interesting thread on gender differences in education. Also a nice reminder of why I should be better at looking for relevant studies outside of my own little economic-field-bubble! 👀🧐🤓
A 🧵 exploring gender differences in education. Nationally, girls do better, are more likely to go to Uni, but are less likely to do STEM subjects. What causes these differences?
First 4 studies on parenting, second 6 on schooling. Strap in, some of these findings are wild…
Attended #CEN workshop yesterday hosted by @RockwoolFonden. Many great projects! Keynote Alexandra Spitz-Oener presented causal evidence of the ‘devaluation hypothesis’. Increasing female share in an occupation leads to a decline in wages. Both for males and females. 💸

New, exiting article by @annesofieanker focuses on how children are affected by paternal incarceration. She finds paternal incarceration does not affect academic achievement but roughly doubles the risk of not completing compulsory school. Results are mainly driven by boys. 📏✏️

Catching up on new theoretical developments within gender equality, family policies, and family dynamics at @UniOslo in great company @Therese_BayS. Thank you Cathrine Holst and @trudelapp for organizing a relevant and interesting course and our playful approach to the task.
Reading articles about the motherhood penalty on the same day a more equal allocation of maternity and paternity leave is suggested in Denmark makes me realize the importance of good research to contribute to the public debate! .. and hey, today my work feels relevant! #barsel
