Take er easy

[Mathis @mathiskane]

Last thing I’ll say on this… without the golf course there is no club or facility.

[Guy Cipriano @GCIMagazineGuy]

When are clubs and golf facilities at all levels going to realize superintendents should be compensated the same (if not more) than general managers? Did what occur in 2020 slip memories?

[Mathis @mathiskane]

Assistants are the least compensated. For what they take on and have to deal with, underpaying assistants/supers is killing the industry.

[D. Harrison Rutledge @mowmesilly]

@GCIMagazineGuy And their Assistants. It changes right here, right now. I worked for a super in Iowa who made 80k for Troon. While I didn’t agree with his management style, he was beyond talented agronomically. The man was worth 100k easy. Pay them what they are worth. It’s gone on too long.

[Mathis @mathiskane]

They won’t realize it. That’s the problem

I will be making my way west into the Colorado Rockys’ to an Assistant Superintendent at Ironbridge Golf Club. Extremely blessed for the last 27 months I’ve lived and worked on the Colorado front range.

[Elmcrest CountryClub @ElmcrestClub]

A year ago today our community was rocked by winds up to 140 MPH. In this time of crisis, our members, team & community came together to help restore what was lost. We will never forget the damage done, but we will also never forget the open arms & helping hands of our community.

[Mathis @mathiskane]
