Elena Rybakina came to the U.S. Open off of a bad foot injury, but it turned into one of the greatest Grand Slam title runs of all-time.

She missed the entire first week of practice, but believed she could recover, focus, and play her way into this tournament…

Think about how hard that is.

On top of that, she had to beat:

4-time Grand Slam Champion Naomi Osaka.

Olympic Gold Medalist Qinwen Zheng.

2-time Grand Slam champion Coco Gauff.

4-time Grand Slam Champion and the reigning world No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka.

She won her last 3 matches of the tournament in 3 sets.

On top of that, she leaves as the World No. 1.

She does not let the world know her feelings on the court. She doesn’t scream when she’s pumped up. She doesn’t lose control when she misses a sitter. She keeps an icy fortress of composure and focus around her, no matter the moment.

Because of that, not everyone knew the strength, guts, and fire she possesses inside.

But instead of telling us, she’s showing us who she is.

An icy mindset, a heart made of fire, and above all… one of the truest champions the game has seen.

@alexdimitrov RG 2025 Aryna was brutle and ruthless until she meets coco in final. It is bit more windy at the time and it annoys aryna. Coco just utilized the situation and made aryna to play more shots bc she doesn't like ball back in her court. she goes for winners and made unforced errors

@fwdhadid True. If he is in his prime you have to earn each nd every point unlike today. He is simply missing is forehand all day, service error. Not returning service often. If anybody seen him play last year clearly know what im saying.

@mondie66 @KolnHH_RB Yes. Momentum and confidence is real and ben gets it today. Same thing ppl said after Zverev winning his 1st GS title. But what happend jannik killed it all in Wimbledon final in just few month time. Anyway it is GG for ben if he is able to convert it to title. Or else NO

@itstklowk @DjokovicFan_ 1. he didn't beat carlos convincingly though he is injury return.
2. Jannik has 5 GS and 17 Big title on the other hand carlos has 7 GS and 15 big titles. Ben doesn't even hv big titles let alone GS.
So im not coping here im saying a valid point. It is too early to say that.

@Blutman27 He lost after toiling 4h30m. To so called prime ben, after returning from major injury and long gap that too in his 1st tournament. They said zverev is unstopable after RG title but jannik simply beats him in Wimbledon. So for me carlos nd jannik are top. Thn is zverev nd ben.

@TrentonJocz I too hv a same opinion. Shelton is at this level for so long but he couldn't find a way pass through sinner or alcaraz. If he might hv taken alcaraz 3-1 atleast i believed ben is better now. But taking it to tie breaker in 5th set is bad actually whichever way the result goes

@Nyokiidoki Me too. And they're calling him prime ben to be number one. If carlos in rythem he might hv finished in 3-0. Bc ben was this good for couple of years now. But he is no way near prime carlitos or jannik. If incase ben is in his prime then he should have atleast take out carlos 3-1

@theblockspot Don't tell if ben won tell only if carlitos won. Bc beating carlitos is not a great deal bc he came back frm injury to beat prime ben in his very 1st tournament.
