Daniel Kebede from Britain’s biggest teaching union, the NEU, talks of his huge pride in how the union has funded the hate demonstrations that have dominated our streets since October 8 2023.
He talks of his pride in being part of an ‘anti war movement’ but this guy once called for a ‘global intifada’ and those demonstrations don’t call for peace. They call for more war or ‘resistance’.
I thought cultural appropriation was a bad, BAD thing?
One after another dons a keffiyeh at the NEU conference. How are Jewish kids supposed to feel about "educators" like this? This union is utterly obsessed with hating Israel.
When I started to look at the links between the teaching union and the Palestine Solidarity Committee, I couldn’t believe what I found.
The NEU is teaching its teachers anti Israel hatred and they, in turn, are taking it into the classroom even though schools are meant to be completely neutral on anything deemed political.
The head of the PSC holds a key role in the NEU. Incredibly 4/14 of the PSC committee also hold senior roles in the NEU.
The union has held several events in which teachers have discussed how they take their pro Palestine advocacy into the classroom.
It’s no wonder the NEU is present at almost every PSC hate demo where the destruction of Israel is called for.
The union has sponsored these demos too - their logo alongside those of extremist Islamist groups. Once again we are seeing the strange bedfellows of Islamism and the far left. In many ways they are ideologically opposite - apart from when it comes to the Jewish state.
Hatred for Israel permeates every element of the union. Even the LGBT+ committee wanted to attack Israel for its freedom for gay people as ‘pinkwashing’.
The classroom is where new ideologies are cemented for the future. It’s why one of the first things the Nazis did was change the curriculum in schools.
It taught hatred of Jews. The NEU is more subtle but it’s encouraging hatred of the Jewish state.
