I blogged about math taboo 7 yrs ago, but I think it'd be fun too for DL. I created these slides for grade 8. Hopefully it inspires you to create for your grade level and share. (Fewer "taboo" words for younger Ss?)

Anyone want to join me tomorrow at 9 am to learn about facilitating rich mathematical discourse in distance learning from @theresawills https://t.co/6DGI4HolLf
Hey #MTBoS! I loved the K-8 resources @fawnpnguyen put together, so I made similar collections for HS (Int 1, 2, and 3). Just wanted to share; thankful for all the resources I've found through this online community. #iteachmath https://t.co/o9sDeqykR6

I've been asking the students to fill out weekly feedback forms. What is going on? Do you need anything? What is working? What can we do better? etc.
Here's the form sent out a couple of days ago. Takeaways:
@AdrienneBranden Pick 3: math-reading-writing. Do NOT spend more than 2 hr/day. Spread it out...30 min here, 10 min there. What doesn't get done does NOT get added to next day.
Also send input to principal bc the teacher is likely following his/her lead & only the principal can change the plan.
@makemathstick@AdrienneBranden Absolutely cannot mirror school!!! We need minimal requirements-what will pack the most punch?!! These kids, parents, and teachers are thrown into a role that isn’t the same a four walls in a classroom. Grace. Patience. Understanding. Those should be the 3 priorities!!
@saravdwerf NO-o-o. I wonder if this method of multiplying binomials will keep from "FOILing" what you know and believe to be good instruction. At least with this box method, we build off of the elementary area model for multiplying multi-digit numbers. BONUS: It works for TRInomials, too!
Hey US math teacher friends, you may not have heard of @misterwootube but he is HUGE in Australia and has so much amazing content to share. He's definitely someone more people around the world should know about. #MTBoS#iteachmath

Okay, I'm done with this site for now. Hope you can use it with middle and high-school kids.
