Ketua Parlemen Iran, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, menyindir keras Presiden Amerika Donald Trump terkait kebijakan ekonomi terbaru Bank Sentral AS (The Fed).

Langkah The Fed menaikkan suku bunga acuan sebesar 25 basis poin—dari 3,75% menjadi 4,00%—disebut-sebut sebagai kenaikan pertama dalam tiga tahun terakhir demi menekan lonjakan inflasi.

Namun, kebijakan ini kabarnya memicu penolakan dari Trump. Kenaikan suku bunga tersebut dipicu oleh meroketnya pengeluaran militer AS akibat konflik dengan Iran, penipisan cadangan strategis, serta Krisis Energi global.

Menanggapi situasi ini, Ghalibaf mengunggah pesan bernada sindiran tajam di platform X. Dengan mengadaptasi formula ekonomi terkenal, Taylor Rule, ia meluncurkan apa yang ia sebut sebagai "Straits Taylor Rule".

Ia juga menambahkan bahwa premi risiko ekonomi global kini sepenuhnya berada di bawah kendali Tehran.
