@bennpeifert when you made a regression for the market price for GVV, the price was positive for Gamma and Volga, and negative for Vanna. Is this always/usually the case? what's the intuition behind negative price for Vanna?

@ESYudkowsky@VitalikButerin@3blue1brown So probability is a subjective thing that depends on who is giving the answer? If I know that a coin landed on heads and answer P(Heads)=1, you do not know that and answer P(Heads)=0.5, we are both right?
@otac0n@AlonTimmer@3blue1brown It's not framed as a P(A|B)-question though. It's a P(A) question.
Following that. If you know what the 8th digit is, but I don't. You will answer 1 or 0, and I answer 0.5. Which one of us is right? Both of us?
@otac0n@AlonTimmer@3blue1brown Does the same logic apply to say the 8th digit?
Just because I don't know what it is, does not mean that it's 50/50 either way.
@Bushwood__CC@normonics@RavenousBull Sure, if you compare America to 3rd world countries. It is way worse to be poor in America than to be poor in other rich, well developed countries though.
@Bushwood__CC@normonics@RavenousBull If US had true equal opportunity, it would have been shown in the social mobility stats. An American born to a household in the bottom 20% of earnings, for instance, only has a 8% chance of reaching the top 20% when they grow up. In Scandinavia it's around 13%.
@Bushwood__CC@normonics@RavenousBull Average age where people start contributing to society rather than collecting benefits is around 20-25. Do you not think that people should pay for the benefits they have received throughout childhood?
@Bushwood__CC@normonics@RavenousBull Do you mean that taxing billionaires is theft? How does one tackle crony capitalism and mega corps without gov intervention? Do you think that the wealth inequality today is just a necessary sacrifice to preserve the free market?
