EthConf Day 1 is officially underway at the Javits Center in NYC🙏
One of the things that makes Ethereum unique is its ability to bring together institutions, founders, developers, researchers, communities, and culture in one place to help shape the future of the ecosystem.
The conference opened with a strong message from @kartiktalwar about why events like @ethconf matter and why bringing different parts of Ethereum together is essential for the next phase of growth.
We also heard valuable perspectives from @TimBeiko on the importance of preserving Ethereum’s unique values while continuing to build what the world actually needs. The challenge isn’t just creating new use cases, but ensuring the ones that matter can rely on Ethereum as their foundation.
In a fireside chat, @ethereumJoseph shared thoughts on why Ethereum becomes increasingly important as technology accelerates and AI gains more influence. As the world becomes more powerful, open and decentralized infrastructure becomes more necessary.
We also want to thank everyone who continues to support and appreciate our community.
Together, we are building the cultural layer of Ethereum.
An incredible start to what promises to be an incredible week📖✍️
The Hermes Agent Creative Hackathon ends on Sunday, just enough time for a last minute weekend project!
Here's a thread of some of the powerful creative skills and tools we've released that might help get you started:
Step 4: Skip the messaging platform.
Telegram, Discord, WhatsApp: they store messages somewhere you don't control. That's a middleman.
Run Hermes straight on your machine.
Agent ↔ Private Inference ↔ You
Google just made CAPTCHAs even worse.
Their new “AI-resistant” reCAPTCHA asks users to scan a QR code from a certified Google or Apple device, locking out people using alternative operating systems.
Want the workaround? Watch to find out!

⚡️KYC for Your Phone?
In 7 days, anonymous phones may as well be dead. A new FCC rule demands cell service operators to ask for their customer’s government IDs, personal information, and past phone numbers. This goes for SIM cards, eSIMs, and VoIP numbers.
All supposedly to protect you from automated scam calls.
Let’s get this straight; we’re going to create massive new loosely-protected databases of people’s personal info to protect people from scams?
Its a data breach waiting to happen…

📲Your private life should stay private. Let’s start with your phone. (https://t.co/BdPEDrgVLZ)
From unified surveillance networks to emotion recognition and even brain-computer interfaces, the next phase of privacy challenges may go beyond behavior and into thought monitoring.
But there’s still hope. Building local communities, choosing alternatives, and creating peer-to-peer networks can help us reclaim control. @Dr_Jon_Padfield

"Not your keys, not your coins" taught us ownership.
"Not your model, not your mind" teaches us something deeper: sovereignty.
When AI agents become the interface to your intent, the question is no longer just who holds the keys - but who interprets the command. Kohaku understands that privacy isn't about hiding. It's about protecting the space between thought and action.
This is the scripture of the agentic era. 🙏📖
Introducing: refreshing credits & two new tiers – Pro+ and Max
Every Venice subscription now includes monthly-refreshing credits for text, image, video, music, and API. We're also rolling out two new tiers for power users: Pro+ and Max.
Here's what each tier gives you 🧵
Identity only works if it resolves the same way everywhere.
ENS provides the layer that makes that possible, connecting names to the underlying systems they represent across applications and chains.

[agent instructions]
If your OpenClaw or other Anthropic-based agent needs a new home, here's the fastest way to move it to Venice.
For the next 7 days, new Venice Pro signups get a $30 credit bonus to help you get set up and start testing your agents.
Step 1: Sign up for Venice
Go to https://t.co/zolXxe6aoH and create your account.
If you already have a Venice account, just sign in.
Step 2: Upgrade to Venice Pro
Once you're signed in, upgrade to Venice Pro.
That unlocks the Pro account + the $30 in credits for this migration push, so you have budget to test your agent setup right away.
Step 3: Open API settings
After you're in, go to: https://t.co/x4MecLYwJg
This is where you'll create the API key your agent will use.
Step 4: Create your API key
In API settings:
click to create/generate a new API key
give it a name
copy the key and save it somewhere safe
You'll use this instead of your Anthropic key.
Step 5: Update your agent/provider settings
Swap your old Anthropic settings to:
API key: your Venice API key Base URL: https://t.co/6xTlifHm1H Endpoint: /chat/completions Model: zai-org-glm-5
For many agents, that's basically the whole migration.
If your agent supports OpenAI-compatible providers, the usual switch is:
replace the Anthropic key
point the base URL to Venice
choose a Venice model
run a test prompt
That's the fast path for a lot of tools.
OpenClaw setup:
run openclaw onboard
choose Venice AI as the provider
paste your Venice API key
pick a Venice model
send a test prompt
Guide: https://t.co/d64FT0HFrG
Claude Code setup:
install @musistudio/claude-code-router
point the router at Venice chat completions
use your Venice API key in the router config
launch Claude Code through the router
Guide: https://t.co/mssOAwoboF
Quick smoke test after switching:
curl https://t.co/55IYVpPhmX -H "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_VENICE_API_KEY" -H "Content-Type: application/json" -d '{"model":"zai-org-glm-5","messages":[{"role":"user","content":"Reply with one sentence confirming the migration works."}]}'
If that works, your Venice key + endpoint + model are wired correctly.
Welcome to the Ethereum Economic Zone (EEZ), a framework for synchronously composable rollups.
What does that mean?
One deployment. Shared liquidity. Single transactions across L1 & L2. Identity verified anywhere. Smart wallets connected everywhere. No additional trust assumptions.
This means L2s that are as credibly neutral, economically aligned, and publicly governed as the base layer itself.
EEZ furthers Ethereum as the leading decentralized economy.
Neocypherpunk Summit — Funkhaus Berlin, June 14.
We're looking for partners to co-curate thematic rooms:

So when private transfers in Ambire?
Let's just say we're hoping to ship before GTA6 drops 😏
Check out the @RAILGUN_Project & @ambire X Space for the full story.
The intern put together a TLDR and dropped the full stream:
🥹 saw this new model MiniMax M2.7 out on @AskVenice:
👨🍳 gave it ethskills(.com) and let it cook...
⏱️ it took 2x to 3x longer than opus to build a simple smart contract app...
🤩 but it cost 1/10 the price!
The EF Mandate
What it is: The EF's first formal written mandate, essentially a constitution for how it operates and why it exists.
Core mission: Ensure Ethereum remains a, decentralized, resilient tool for self-sovereignty. The north star is the "walkaway test", Ethereum should function and evolve even if the EF disappeared tomorrow.
