HOW TO LEAVE AUSTRALIA

This is how I left the country.

Your situation will be different to mine, so you'll have to do it differently. But for those asking, this is what happened.

As always, DYOR.

First, I looked up all the places that I could go. Meaning, all the possible countries in which I could get a job/work permit/residence.

Then, I narrowed it down based on my preferences.

- Did I want to live in the desert? No. Ok, Dubai is out.
- Do I want to live in a third world shit hole? No, Ok, London is out.
- Do I want to live by the beach and close to America? Yes. Ok, Cayman is in.

Next, I visited the Cayman Islands to see if I liked it.

I loved it.

Then, I applied for jobs. I didn't want to move without a job for obvious reasons.

I got a job quickly. It paid well and I liked the people I met with (I think that's important). My employer sorted out all of the visa stuff and paid for me to move, which was a major benefit.

And then I left.

It's really that simple.

The kind of tricky part is sorting out all the tax stuff. You have to get tax advice, and implement it, if you want to leave the Australian tax net.

If you're moving a business and a family, it will be a bit more complicated (I just have a wife who is currently unemployed in the Caribbean and loving life). But it's doable, I know many people on X (and in life) who have done it.

But really, it's incredibly straightforward.

Just watch YouTube videos of all the places you could possibly move (there's thousands - I like Nomad Capitalist), learn everything you can, then execute.

Life is short. Take action. Don't think too much.

PS: I have received a lot of messages with questions about my move. I'm sorry that I won't respond to most of them. The more time you spend on this app, the more cautious you are talking to strangers!

Saudi Arabia has misunderstood. Iran has misunderstood. Yemen has misunderstood.
Has there ever been a more spectacularly misunderstood religion than Islam?

I'm constantly told that I need to respect Islam. But I'm under no greater obligation to respect Islam than any other belief.

I am under no obligation to make compromises with an ideology I simply don't see as peaceful.

Why don't I see it as peaceful? Because of the evidence.

If I look around the world and see the countries where Islam calls the shots, all I see is brutality and violence imposed by the state.
