Let's ensure ambulances are available for those who truly need them.
Only 3 days to go until our team are in Bakewell to launch a new Community Response Team.
We will be at Bakewell Town Hall 18.30 on 28th June to talk to anyone interested in becoming a first responder for EMAS
Today marks the official launch of the emergency bleed kits which are being rolled out across Derbyshire, one of which is housed in one of our defibrillator cabinets at Two Dales at Barrington’s public house.
The figures are finally in for 2022.
During 2022 we provided 1800 hours of voluntary responding hours and between the group we responded to 302 emergency calls on behalf of East Midlands ambulance!! An amazing achievement for our small team of volunteers
Due to the significant and sustained demand for a number of services, the Derbyshire health and care system has declared a critical incident and is taking additional steps to prioritise and maintain safe services for patients. More info: https://t.co/gY4kjx5m5o
Happy new year to you all.
The figures for 2021 are in. We provided 3394 voluntary hours and attended 504 calls in 2021. Many thanks to all our supporters and volunteers for this amazing achievement for a small team.
FACT: arriving at hospital in the back of an ambulance does not mean you receive automatic priority over patients who make their own way.
If you don't require the life-saving clinicians and equipment on board our ambulances on your way to hospital, please make your own way.
We are recruiting!! If you are interested in joining the team and can volunteer for a minimum of 20hours a month then please contact us via DM, we are particularly interested in hearing from people In the Bakewell, Rowsley, Darley Dale areas.
@AdyRiley@derbyshiredales@EMAS_CFR@gavc2 No lol nearest one is that one which is walking distance so when I’m not using it I could leave it to charge up and wander back home if not booked available
Using the new fully electric CFR35 car only second day on the road 😬, convenient charging point behind @derbyshiredales offices means we can charge up whilst remaining on call for incidents in our area. @EMAS_CFR@EMAS_CFR
@DalesResponse @derbyshiredales@EMAS_CFR Yes it will be the same one, but @NedCfr have their own that they lease too, good for local trips don’t think range is there for frontline response just yet but technology is getting better
