@WXXINews It's just that resisting this kind of 'mandate' is in public health interest, my child is not for testing how well we are ready to live with the virus, full stop.
@WXXINews I think I get the anti-mask parents on the whole 'mando' thing now. With one-way masking at this level it would submit my child to mandatory infection( I know 3 careful families that this happened to).
@Rebelkayak Yeaaah it was never safe to go mask optional indoors, we never reached 50 per 100,000 low needed. I hope the anti-maskers enjoyed their two months because at some point we'll just run out of people to staff their back to normal.
@DrMikeMendoza Our director says that the last meeting with private schools has been cancelled and are waiting for guidance from the Health Department regarding recent outbreak. Who is responsible? You said they should contact you on Connections.
@DrMikeMendoza Please help our preschool curb the recent covid transmissions ( 4 cases in last week+) with a better local policy; Parents of kids not eligible for vaccination are forced to keep them home because the only tool the school can implement is opt-in screening.
@DrMikeMendoza Our preschool is not functioning as a community, they are waiting on top level guidance as indication if they should go back to previous protection measures ( 1-2 cases for every day this week, 9 cases in 14 days).
Hello Dr. @Andy_Murdock I have research questions about an article your wrote at UC on solar panel history. I will send you a connect request through linkedin.
Why my only choices are: drive half an hour to a county site, brave an unmasked pharmacy or wait two more days after the child's birthday for pediatric clinic? #CovidVaccine#brokenNY
@GovKathyHochul NY is making it difficult to get covid vaccines: some pediatricians only do it once a week; for children turning 5 the appt can't even be scheduled until the day of. Please fix it, you are already making our life harder by lifting masking in schools prematurely.
@solar_dave Hi David, do you have a source for his life story beyond Let It Shine? I am researching this for a visual essay. He sounds like a serial inventor ( there is a patent for a curtain mechanism in 1969). Btw the photo is actually Antoine Henri Becquerel.
@tararosenblum Absolutely frustrating, we can't take our young child to the store anymore and now we are waiting to see if the summer program we signed up for is out of question. Only a few months left before 2 and up can be vaccinated!
@DrMikeMendoza@TammyBubb@CountyExecBello @MonroeHealth I think schools that closed to covid should return to 20% weekly testing if they didn't even get it started before closing. Webster Montessori had 14 cases end of November ( more than 10%) and planning to open on December 7th with only monthly testing planned.
@TofuSaucy @rachbarnhart@Nate_Moulton@iHeartRadio Stories become critical at this point, we need a better story than 'this is just a boogey man, you have to show no sign of fear and face it' etc. Those that spread stories detrimental to public health need to be held liable.
@SUvadala @WHEC_RBrown @whec_nrudd@news10nbc The later, I think the praise for low count was just humidity and temperature playing a role, so now we see what compliance is actually looking like. Now let's see what the new restrictions will be.
@elvo86 @DrMikeMendoza@MonroeCountyHea Are the additional numbers rapid tests? Vs 'confirmed cases'. This is looking like exponential growth. Please do something soon!!!
Matt Turner, Generation180's Creative Manager, wrote the story and Tatyana illustrated a wonderful sixteen-page book that communicates the joy and importance of voting to children. Head here for links to the (free) digital version or to order a print copy: https://t.co/VLbwzeJMpA
@DrMikeMendoza Curious if the lower humidity is causing outside transmission to be more of a concern. Today observed children and coaches at a local town park practicing what looks like team sports ( including close contact basketball). No masks.
@DrMikeMendoza But having something else is not exclusive of covid. If they are getting sick it could be risky behavior outside of school - not wearing masks, attending gatherings.
