i find it weird that nowadays young members of fandom, especially minors, are so comfortable insulting and witchhunting the older fans.

when i was a kid in fandom spaces, i remember holding so much admiration and respect for the older fans. after all, they kept it all going

His entire Google account got permanently banned. Not just Drive. Gmail.. YouTube.. Every single service..

His appeal was rejected. No human reviewed it. An algorithm decided his life's work was a violation.

He never shared the files publicly. It was a private backup of his own creations. The AI flagged it anyway - probably the filename or art style - and that was enough.

- Google banned a developer's 14-year-old Gmail account over a research dataset that contained no illegal content
- Google expanded its automated ban policy in October 2025 - violations now trigger immediate termination with zero warning period
- No lawsuit against Google for wrongful account termination has ever succeeded in US courts

Your Google account is not yours. You are renting access to your own digital life from a company whose AI can end it in seconds - with no appeal, no human, and no recourse.

Take the Discord age verification seriously. This is a case where even a VPN won't get you around this, as it effects everyone regardless if Age Verification has been implemented in your country or state or not.

This is so fucking scummy to set everyone's accounts to teen by default. All to force us to give them our government ID.

Discord was hacked last year and they had 1.5TB of data and 2 million government IDs leaked.

Several tens of thousands of those were kids IDs

Investors and underwriters should be paying close attention to the risks created by sudden policy shifts that lock paying users out of data and workspaces, expand sensitive data collection, and expose the company to serious regulatory and unfair-practices scrutiny.
