@galenking @Shopify Shopify has updated the handle conversion for Metaobjects, so we changed that too, to match that logic. 👌
Keeping Metaobject Definition case unchanged, as allowed also by Shopify.

@galenking @Shopify Similarly, Metafield Definition allows the Type to be anyCase. In a way, that's a "handle" for the definition. So we also do not convert this to lowercase, because some Merchants might need it that way, as Shopify allows.

@elsom25 @galenking @Shopify When importing Metaobjects, we indeed respect the value that comes from the import file, not converting to lowercase - in case Merchant needs it precisely as Shopify allowed. Great teamwork to improve that detail. 👌

0️⃣ Matrixify remembers your last export checkboxes, that’s why they are sometimes on.
1️⃣ You can upload directly from publicly-shared Google Sheet URL without downloading a CSV.

@ThomKnepper @Shopify This is a very topical question, and an issue we have been discussing with @ShopifyDevs. Our understanding is that it’s how the Billing is built that it can be charged only when Shopify paid plan is activated. To change that, it would require changes in core. Hopefully one day…

@galenking Imagine the chaos in columns if you have different sets of fields for different Metaobjects.
There would be of course benefits if all the fields are the same for all your exported items, and would be easier to edit, really see your point there…

Thanks for asking! We have seriously considered it when designing the format sheet for Metaobjects, but came to the “one field per row” with one Key and one Value column to make most sense universally.
