Johnny Gargano still being depressed costed his wife Candice LeRae a match against Jordanne Grace. I wonder if they will run it back with a more focused Candice because she can wrestle with the best of them. I wish they had a more serious match. Hopefully that is what they are building up to. I can’t imagine what might break Johnny out of that funk though.
Rhiyo put together one last banger with the Irresistible Forces before dropping the belt. I had a feeling this was their last hurrah, but I can’t see them splitting up or turning on each other. The Irresistible Forces are a force to be reckoned with so I can’t imagine who might dethrones them. I like their tag team and am hoping for a good and long reign for the both of them. Especially with this being Lash Legend’s first title run on the main roster and definitely will be the first of many. Going forward Rhea could win the Chamber and face Jade at the Chamber. As for Iyo, I’ve seen people online fantasy book her against Giulia like the Stardom days and that would be epic. We’ll just have to see as the weeks go by.
With Jey being written out of the chamber match. The Vision has popped up to try and gain momentum after losing another member to injury. On top of that, after watching his own family get sent to the hospital, Jacob Fatu says he should be in the match as well. Especially after all the times he was screwed out of a championship.
The one person I thought should get a shot was Sami Zayn. While he didn’t make a claim to be in the match, he did point the finger at Jacob saying he might’ve taken out Jey. It could be that Sami is pointing the finger to absolve himself from any accusations because he was the one who did. Unlikely that he turns heel, but I’d love it. Since he has such a strong friendship with Jey, that would make the storyline even more shocking. After Jacob nearly gets heated that he would even try to say he did it, Sami lashes out backstage. I could only hope this leads to something.
The match goes on and Drew, continuing to be the best Heel in the game, screws Jacob out of his spot. Jacob’s spot in that championship match is locked in after this interference quite possibly. He can definitely make a case for being put in the Wrestlemania match after the countless times he has been screwed by Drew. I truly wish champions could defend their title in the Chamber again. That would be great. Closest we got was the US Title in the Chamber a couple years ago and that was a great chamber match too.
The Masked man…. I’m tired of masked man storylines. Especially with this unmasking being a nobody. After the fact, it turns out it was a member of Seth Rollins’s wrestling school, but it most likely is a deflection from who the actual masked man was. Nonetheless, this has been dragging for a while. I understand the injuries ruined what could’ve been with the reveal of the masked man. I just wonder if the masked man arc can even have a good ending at this point.
On a side note, I do hate that the online crowd despise Jey so much. I would’ve rather had Jey in there running it back than Logan Paul do anything. Jey running it back regardless of the setting is hilarious and I could care less about the people at home that dislike the thought of it. When he did it at WarGames, it was one of the highlights of the night for me. When he attempted to at the Rumble and Roman stopped him, it was also hilarious. Maybe it’s just impossible to take Jey seriously if he does it, but man what happened to the fun times wrestling brings.
Nonetheless, I’ll be tuned into the chamber tonight. I’m very curious as to what’s in the big box that has the date of the Elimination Chamber on it. Because of work, tomorrow’s article on the chamber will be late, but I’ll be back. Until next time. Thanks for reading if you made it this far.
Smackdown Before Chamber
Starting the show with Jey getting put into an ambulance on a stretcher is an insane start. Drama is at an all time high the night before the chamber with everyone making their claim for winning and going to Wrestlemania.
MFTs vs The Wyatts continues. The Tag Division on Smackdown was once scorching, but now it is literally just MFTs vs The Wyatts. Something will be done eventually I’m sure, but as of now the scene has gotten stale. I’m sure how much longer the fans can continue to watch these factions duke it out. I also don’t know how big factions can truly survive in this era of the WWE without getting stale. It feels like if a faction that doesn’t revolve around a singles championship is hard to stay a float.
Luckily, later in the show, Nick Aldis recognizes the Tag scene is lacking and it’s about time. We’ll see where they go from here. One of my concerns though is that Shinsuke and Tama were supposed to have a match this week that teased Tama going solo. I was wondering what happened there, but I can see that still having the titles creates a reason for him to still be full time with the family. Losing the titles creates insecurity about the family and how good Tama might be without them. Especially after picking up multiple wins without them already and getting pins in matches with them. He could say he is carrying them to an extent.
The Day before the Chamber, Tiffany’s confidence is at an all time high after winning multiple matches since her return. Asuka, seeing that, challenges her to a match. Later, she reveals that because she is smart, she never had the intention to fight and has Kairi fight Tiffany instead. It was a good match, but it’s unfortunate to see Kairi utilized in the way that she is.
I really like Kairi and would say she has the best Elbow Drop in the game. I would love to see her story with Asuka develop into a face turn and a PPV match with Asuka. They had a chance a while ago when the Kabuki Warriors initially betrayed Iyo. The crowd felt sympathy for Kairi being stuck in between her two comrades, but the longer the storyline went on the less sympathetic the crowd became. As well as the less torn Kairi seemed between her senpai Asuka and her former ally Iyo.
Meanwhile, Jade is showing up in every women’s promo putting them on notice. Whoever walks out of the chamber will be in the eye of the storm. Michin and B Fab continue to look for payback after Jade injured both of them. It looks like Michin will be first up to bat. I can’t really tell where the direction of this storyline goes after Mania or even before. We’ll see how it continues to unfold.
The Ruler, Oba Femi, continues to demolish any and all competitors in his sight. He is a beast and Rusev seems to be looking for a real fight this Monday so we’ll see where things go from there. I think it’s only a matter of time before Oba is the one to come face to face with Brock. Until then, he will continue to be built up as the monster he is. Rusev is not gonna be a pushover though, but being as he has already had a match with Cody, he’ll be fine.
In the U.S. Title scene, Ilja is feeling like he doesn’t deserve a shot at the championship and that’s understandable. Not stopping Tama last week, not qualifying for that fatal 4 way at Saturday Night’s Main event after losing the US title, and losing the 10 man tag against the MFTs has bruised his belief in himself. Hopefully he can climb that hill again. Instead of Ilja, Matt Cardona takes his place and puts on a hell of a match with Carmelo. Him and Apollo have been lurking around waiting for their shot to answer the open challenge so it isn’t a surprise that he showed up. On top of that both of them were involved in that 10 man match against the MFTs 2 weeks ago and tried to help Ilja when he was getting assaulted by the MFTs.

The three lead actors for HBO’s 'Harry Potter' TV series have been announced:
-Arabella Stanton as Hermione Granger
-Dominic McLaughlin as Harry Potter
-Alastair Stout as Ron Weasley
This is a good thread about a lot of Marathon influences and I realize I was wrong about a lot of this style stuff during this whole thing. Main issue is the direct rips, how they were allowed to get through and how many others there could be
why stuff (marathon) looks like this…. so heads up kids, do your homework, i give you a starter: after designers republic hit hard in 1996 with wipeout there were several other design studios how took up the torch, case in point: bionic-systems (germany, late 90s/early 00s) #marathon
I wanna be honest and real for a min:
The whole Bungie/Marathon/Destiny situation is so weird to me. It doesn't make sense in my brain.
You have Bungie making the most successful sci-fi, live service, looter shooter of all time, over the last 10 years. They were already known for Halo, and Destiny took it to the next level.
Destiny starts to fatigue. Development starts to become lazy and stale. Bungie fucking OWNS the live service shooter market, with basically no competition, so there's no reason to change.. cause it sells. But as things remain stale for Destiny, there's a HUGE window open in the market. A Destiny 3 fresh start would have been the greatest gift to the community, a community that is far beyond a cult-following. It would have plunged life back into the franchise. D2 just cannot hang on forever.
So instead... they cancel D3, and launch a brand new game. It's not PvP like Halo; it's not a Destiny-like; it's an extraction shooter... kinda a weird genre imo. You have all these Bungie/Destiny fans that WANT to like Marathon, but the truth is - there's little crossover between Destiny players and extraction shooter players. It exists, but it's not what many would want. So who's the target audience here?
Destiny players want Marathon to succeed, so Bungie can succeed, and therefore push resources back into Destiny, and have Destiny succeed. As for Marathon right now, it doesn't look like it's revolutionizing the video game world or anything. It kinda gives off a "been there, done that" extraction shooter vibe. I know it's early, things could change. But these are my early impressions.
So the whole thing just kinda confuses me.. a bit? I dunno. I just feel like a game winning ball was dropped.. hard. This isn't a hate post. I WISH Marathon succeeds; at least at the minimum, selfishly, so that Destiny continues to get more love lol. This is more of a "these are my shower thoughts" post.
Take care, everyone. Much love.
