Today we went to my husband’s #family #grave for #Obon. We pulled out weeds, re-shaped the little trees, lightly washed the grave stones and said our prayers 🙏
Followed by a #Soba lunch of #Kamo #Seiro aka cold soba noodles with a #duck dipping soup w/ slices of duck🤩

Tonight’s Izakaya was home-made spinach w/ sesame dressing and konnyaku w/ pork and miso! 😋
I never used to cook Japanese food as I didn’t grow up with it but since learning of the key base ingredients (sake, soy sauce and mirin), I’m gaining confidence! 🥰
