Swedish people, what on earth happened here today? AIK vs. Brommapojkarna 😭🇸🇪

[MK @MatsK22_]

What a performance from Lavia so far. He’s making real strides and getting better and better. That assist and his defensive actions have been particularly impressive. 🇧🇪

@AjaxYA How is De Falco in this Squad?

[MK @MatsK22_]

Five goals against Bangladesh today. And he’s only 19 years old. Looking very impressive.

I’ll be diving deeper into this player very soon. I believe there is a lot of talent in Indonesia — a country with an incredible passion for the game too. 🇮🇩

Mika godts.

[Target Scouting @TargetScouting_]

🇧🇪 Mika Godts (LW, ‘05) — AFC Ajax

Mika Godts is on his way to PSG for a transfer fee of €55m including bonuses, according to @FabrizioRomano. Here’s @MatsK22_’s analysis.

The transfer of Mika Godts to PSG is in my opinion a good deal for the French top club. The recruitment strategy of PSG and Luis Campos to continue investing in young attacking talent is another smart move. With the amount of rotation PSG uses throughout the season, Godts should have a genuine opportunity to earn meaningful minutes at the two-time Champions League winners.

Godts is an enormous talent. I saw that myself when I first saw him play for Jong Ajax in the 2022/23 season. Last season he showed himself in a strong way at Ajax. His dribbles, shooting ability and creativity are of exceptional class and make him a player who can decide matches.

I think Godts should watch out for overconfidence. There are still plenty of areas where he can improve. For example his efficiency can and must increase and he must learn to choose better when to dribble and become dangerous on the field. At times, he tries to beat one opponent too many. It often works because of his immense talent, but it also leads to unnecessary turnovers. That was especially visible at Champions League level last season, where he was not able to make the same impact as in the Eredivisie.

Overall, I think this transfer can be a great step for both Godts and PSG for the coming years. Personally, however, I would have preferred to see him stay in Amsterdam for one more season to develop further at this level before he would make this step to one of the biggest in Europa at the moment.

For Ajax, who will receive €55m according to @FabrizioRomano, it is ultimately a reasonable deal. However, the club actually wanted more (€60m) and lost its most dangerous attacker just before the start of the new season. As a result, Ajax has to look for a suitable replacement in the short term.

The amount of talent on this pitch is insane. Definitely a match worth watching. 🇪🇸🇫🇮

Alphonce Msanga caught my eye in Tanzania vs. Guinea-Bissau. The 23-year-old came on as a substitute and impressed with his agility and ability to dictate play from deep, consistently looking to progress the ball. One to keep an eye on. 🇹🇿

[MK @MatsK22_]

The rise of Ahmedspor is fascinating. After spending less than €5M, the newly promoted side now sit top of the Turkish league, led by star man Gift Orban. What a story.

What a goal from Weidmann vs PSV👏

[MK @MatsK22_]

Weidmann has real quality. Strong start to the season, showing his technical ability and impact in possession. The next step is to maintain this level consistently and keep developing his defensive contribution.

Still painful to see. Not a single Ajax player in the Netherlands squad. That says a lot about where the club is right now…
