As we learned from the land unit this plant and many other plants need fertilizer and water and other things to give it the nutrients it needs to thrive #apesland@franklinlorax
#apesland this is a plant and this plant takes nutrients from the soil to help it grow and stay alive. It also needs a certain type of soil so it can have the best chance of growing. @franklinlorax
I use a computer while doing my school work because it saves trees since we don’t have to use paper and it reduces my ecological footprint. #apespopulation@franklinlorax
This is my dog, Rusty. He is considered a K-selected species due to the fact that he lives long and reproduces in smaller numbers. #apesecology#apeseco@franklinlorax
With the water unit comes the idea that we should always turn off our water when we are not using it because only about 1% of the world's water is usable and accessible to us which means that we have to use are limited resources conservatively

After learning all about water through this unit I learned this water goes through the water treatment plant and comes from Lake Michigan. They do all of these steps to make the water clean and drinkable like this tap water. #apeswater@franklinlorax
#apeswater@franklinlorax I couldn’t find my card but I used my 10 grade ID. I live in Franklin so I get my water from Lake Michigan and before I get it it needs to be purified at a water treatment plant where they flocculate it filter it and disinfect it so it’s safe to use.
@franklinlorax in this picture you can see many crushed aluminum cans these will be recycled so we don’t have to mine for more aluminum depleting earth of its resources and stopping the heavy machinery that is used to mine from releasing carbon emissions
