JJ Wetherholt is on pace for a 7.3 bWAR season. The #STLCards second baseman is having one of the best debut seasons of any NL rookie since 2020.

Michaels Harris won NL ROTY in 2022, finishing with 5.1 bWAR.

Corbin Carroll won the award in 2023, recording 5.3 bWAR.

Paul Skenes (bad comp, he didn’t throw too many innings and pitcher WAR is weird) won the award in 2024, putting up 5.8 bWAR.

No other rookie has surpassed the 5 win threshold. JJ Wetherholt will be close by the All Star Break…
