@elonmusk There’s no shortage of applicants. The one academy in the country can only handle so many students. Create more academies, pay instructors and controllers more. Incentivize.
@Alibertarian50@MarioNawfal They look like this. They are connected to the airport ASDE which is the ground radar displayed in the tower. They’ll turn on and off automatically as it detects a plane approaching an occupied runway.
@YugeBeau_Nerr@libsoftiktok I’m offering another perspective about bad weather that is often overlooked in these cases when the incident happens on a clear day
@YugeBeau_Nerr@libsoftiktok It’s extremely close. If southwest actually landed the plane they would have speared the private jet. Now imagine visibility is zero on a bad weather day. It’s a collision.
@Alibertarian50@MarioNawfal We do have something like that. Called RWSL’s (Runway Status Lights). But it’s not installed at every airport and possibly not at this runway/runway intersection where this incident occurred. I don’t know if it’s installed there for certain.
Total radio failure at Newark Sector in Philly currently. Planes NORDO all over NY airspace shutting down LGA and JFK also. @FAANews doesn’t care about safety as they continue to attempt to keep this move alive. @AviationNews@united@UnitedPilots@AINonline
Been feeling off lately? Little headache? Dulled senses?
Check yall’s carbon monoxide monitors.
Just had my upstairs one go off and after a visit from the fire department…found that the downstairs was the main source of the leak.
The worst part is I had a detector downstairs too… luckily didn’t get too sick other than slight headache but man, silent killer for sure.
Luckily I also air out the house on the daily so I must have been deterring the gas buildup enough to prevent deadly levels but it definitely has been going on for a while…
Assess your carbons unless you want them to try and assassinate you.
All RADAR feeds went down today at the EWR sector in Philly. This is a direct result of FAA ignoring safety warnings of an indirect telephone 2nd hand feed from the TRACON building in Westbury. 1000s of lives were put at risk today by the ignorant, ego driven FAA. @EWRairport
