@DrunkRepub Youโd think none of us had been to the US before or had only been to the bog standard tourist spots, weโre pretty much (collectively) the largest group of tourists that come annually- this whole thing is getting kinda weird ๐. Still nice to see the genuine first timers though
@darrenpjones National Debt ballooning, public sector spending out of control, energy prices amongst the highest if not the highest in the developed world, food prices still rising, unemployment going up and up all topped off with anaemic economic growth. Sounds like some serious winning ๐ ๐
@Emma_A_Webb Iโd interpret it as becoming a major military power alongside the United States but able to stand on our own when needed , assert our interests where they differ to the US and not being entirely reliant on them for equipment etc. I think thatโs reasonable
@jonatanpallesen He of course wonโt be around to see the consequences of his garbage ideas, which unfortunately our leaders seem desperate to embrace
Migration isn't just about a headline number.
We're still seeing record immigration. It's just being offset by record emigration.
900k coming here, mostly non-EU, coming here for low-skilled work or on non-work visas. 693k leaving, mostly people from the EU and young Brits.
