Most people who are frustrated with their AI output never actually told the model what good looks like. They fired off an off-the-cuff prompt, got back something mediocre, and blamed the tool. But "make no mistakes" isn't feedback the model can act on.
The fix is a rubric: a small set of measurable criteria you define up front, share before the work starts, and score the output against. It turns a vague reaction into an objective standard and the output gets better every time you use it.
Here's my full process on building effective rubrics, using them with LLMs, and how to run multi-agent reviews against it:

Four years ago, @mattcbasile and I started our agency: Markham Square. Today, we're becoming Good Measure Studios.
Project after project we keep realizing that the work that actually pushes a project from good to great is never what’s in the SOW. It's the small last pass. That one extra test case. The cleanup we did because it would've bugged us to leave it.
The things we do “for good measure.”
We started saying it so often it stopped being a phrase and started being the way we work. So, we're leaning all the way in.
Good Measure Studios is the same team, the same partner-level attention, with a sharper focus on what we've been doing more and more of: making AI actually work inside real businesses. Not the vibe coded prototype version. The one your team actually uses.
If you've been talking to us already, nothing changes. Same emails, same calls, same Matt and Nick.
If you haven't, now's a good time. We'd love to hear what you're working on.
Crazy to realize that I’m coming up on 15 years of working in product now. Reflecting on my journey, I asked myself, “if there was one thing I could tell young Nick to get better at, what would that be?”
Tune in to our AI livestream tomorrow at 11:30a central! We're going to go deep and see how we can leverage AI to turbocharge our businesses and workflows.

Adding AI to your business takes more than just signing up for ChatGPT 😅
In this week's livestream, I'm going to walk through how we work with @team_markhamsq clients to
- identify how they could benefit from AI
- develop a roadmap of AI experiments
- integrate AI into their workflows

Are you a designer who wants to learn how to code, but you’re just not sure where to get started?
All of the content out there feels so overwhelming and never builds on your existing knowledge of design.
Let’s change that today 👀
Now that our agency @team_markhamsq is two years old, we're ready to build some custom tools to provide an even better experience for our clients!
I'll be sharing our progress as we go! First up, a fresh @laravelphp install and styling the auth screens.
I’m beyond excited to share that I was selected as a top 50 @MavenHQ course!
This course started as a simple video response to a Twitter post from @ridd_design, and now 40 designers have taken it to level up their technical literacy 🤯
@midjourney fans does anyone know how to do this?
I generate this fun fox image and want to do two things,
1. Pull the logo off their vest
2. Reuse the same fox in different scenarios ie driving the car, doing the dishes etc.
Is there a way to do that with a specific prompt?
