@WillRagatz I don’t necessarily disagree, but I think context is important. If it’s because they still believe in McCarthy and want it to be a competition, I understand. However, if they’re done with McCarthy and are bringing in Geno to replace him, I think that’s a terrible decision.

@JasonHarmonNFL The way I read this quote is that KOC still has a lot of belief in McCarthy but also understands that he can’t put all their eggs in 1 basket so will be bringing in someone of higher caliber to compete. Ideally tho, McCarthy shows enough progress this offseason to be the starter

@JasonHarmonNFL My answer changes if he decides to go with a low ceiling vet at QB, but no I don’t think he should be on the hot seat. Consistently overachieved without stability at the QB position. His goal this offseason is coming up with a plan to find/develop the franchise QB
