This may or may not be my last post on Twitter... Find me in other places. Wherever you are and wherever this year may take you, to colleagues past, present and future, I wish you a #HappyNewYear and I look forward to what we will do together in #2024 https://t.co/wBIAPYehIU
It was lovely to welcome the FLAN to Leeds today. Excellent retrospective from Mike Sharples and a number of themes discussed for future research into open online learning. Contrary to the screenshot below, I was introducing DES rather than singing (MOOC themed song titles any1?)
Come and join our wonderful team! We are looking to recruit a new VLE Support Officer (Social Sciences)

New post: Why a little bit of reflection and professional learning is good for us. Renewing my @A_L_T SCMALT portfolio. Outlining a short 'learning journey' approach to reflect on planned learning, actual learning and change of practice. https://t.co/TkOKVIO6AG #altc#cpd#edtech
Before a long blog post, here's the tl:dr version on why @A_L_T#altc23 captured the moment of opportunity to lead and set a vision of inclusion for #edtech and was great for my reflections and learning this year. Thanks to all who contributed - https://t.co/PCrVt0FRte
Great session by @UniversityLeeds who created their own ‘Family Tree’ of fictional related patients/clients for healthcare students’ case studies/PBL. Provides themed profiles of ppl for students to analyse and reflect on personal, emotional, social & health dimensions #altc23
Thanks to those who stayed to the end of #altc23 in a rather warm room and listen to my leadership reflective practice and learning. More on how I have adapted the @A_L_T Framework for Ethical Learning Technology to provide reflective leadership questions: https://t.co/TKfNGsjgMb
Thanks @A_L_T and community for a great conference and conversation. One of the best. Reconnecting and new connections. Lots of opportunities to develop. Let's keep looking forward and decide the path to take us on the journey onwards together (cue appropriate photo) #altc23
We should be up front about expectations around use of tech to avoid embarrassment of students turning up with pen and paper and flagging up laptop loans where available. Transition needs to start before they join with advice on key digital skills required #altc23
From defined roles of architect and presenter for different people, through to those roles merging over time and with learning; the big team involved, communication and a known goal and deadline - @Satwinder_Samra on the journey making TV... Oh the parallels to our work #altc23
