I have such a vivid memory of watching Rio Bravo (1959) this past summer with my dad, uncle, and grandfather. Each of us were glued to the screen the entire time. It’s amazing what can bring 3 generations of dudes together.
When I first watched Thief with my dad and uncle, my dad fell asleep five minutes in (it was late) and at the end my uncle turned to me and said “now that was a good movie.” It was a really powerful uncle-nephew moment.
