@BritishBC@MattLearnsLingo multilingualism definitely isn’t a necessity, i’d argue that’s one of the biggest reasons most native English speakers only ever half-arse another language
thing i love about video call is you can just babble on and on about absolute nonsense
and even if your tenses and grammar are all over the place lily still gets what you’re trying to say
i’ve never felt so comfortable speaking another language
so, just hit 64 in French 🇫🇷
the goal is 130 (Upper B2)
to get there this time next year, i’d need to increase my score roughly every 5 days
that means 2 units a day, every day
allons-y 💪
guess it makes sense though
don’t think anyone was really signing up for Max *because of* EMA (for me at least it was all about Video Call)
+ it basically replaced the old answer comments, which used to be free
i think the hardest thing about learning a language is knowing you really don’t need to learn it
you can just roll with English knowing pretty much every door will open for you
i used to tell people not to bother with leagues on Duolingo
but honestly these days it can be the only thing that can get me to bash out my 30 minutes
