Before the shooting of Lorenzo Salgado Araujo, Americans already knew that ICE is a poorly trained occupying army making fatal blunders.
We have ICE agents who (unlike any major city police officer) don’t wear body-worn cameras, and when they kill people, they investigate themselves. (The FBI will only investigate the arrestee’s and detainee’s conduct).
We need independent investigation of these ICE shootings, and criminal prosecution of agents who violate the law.
Last few weeks were heated because we all understand the stakes and share the same goal. I don’t think Trump and MAGA are ready for how united and energized we’re about to be.

Black residents of Louisiana’s “Cancer Alley” filed a landmark lawsuit Tuesday to end all new fossil fuel & petrochemical plants in St. James Parish citing “an environmental and public health emergency" rooted in "a legacy of slavery and white supremacy."
There are no permanent enemies, and no permanent friends, only permanent interests.
This is not about any political party, this is about survival.
We must stop the climate crisis.

Reporting that treats Abbott sending migrants to cities as either a legitimate protest to Biden's immigration policy or as horserace politics when this involves the abuse of desperate human beings for political games is reporting that can be categorized as a failure.
