Today I'm publishing a new essay, Policy on the AI Exponential. AI is progressing extremely fast—much faster than the policy process was built to handle. The essay lays out where I think the technology is now, and the action needed to close the gap: https://t.co/Lh6PWae178
i have codex remote-control running on an rpi dev box but it looks like whenever there is a tool call syntax error, it breaks the connection until i ssh back in and restart codex remote-control
codex tip: give codex a clear outcome to work towards
tell codex what you want to achieve, how it can verify it got there, then let it keep going until it does
for example: “make the build faster” is quite vague
“measure the production build on vercel, keep going until it’s faster, and show me the before/after”
this on a /goal literally got us a real 13% reduction in our deploy times per commit
in an asi world of super abundance, demonstrably human service will still be scarce. without scarcity, we will resort to philosophy, leisure, and status games. demand for status goods based on demonstrably human service will skyrocket, providing as much employment as wanted
The US government should consider the possibility that AI becomes so advanced that it can improve itself without human intervention, and agencies should factor that risk into any federal testing of cutting-edge models, a GOP senator said https://t.co/zWEMWb96Qo
@0xInk_ i like a lot of it, but i think the editing lets it down substantially. many of the shots lacked sufficient setup and resolution to feel meaningful. the blocking also requires a lot more consistency for this pace of cutting.
overall, fun to watch, though :)
