No story in North Carolina reflects where this nation is politically at its 250th birthday more than this one. Wild, ironic and needs a deep dive. Residents who don’t want “big” government overreach somehow go bigger and get State involved to usurp municipal rights.

Sinners is great. One Battle is not (though Benicio is). Bugonia is wacky good. Train Dreams is very good. Frankenstein is actually very very good. Sentimental Value should win everything it’s nominated for, it’s beyond great. Haven’t seen the rest yet.
Fantastic 4 is good. But what it’s great at, it doesn’t do enough. For instance, could have used a longer Murrow/Kronkite speech that it was going for through its Helms Deep climax. The humor is one-off, not a lot of retort which builds character and depth of scene. But it’s fun!

Episode 1. Chaos. Easy to believe. Especially if you’ve spent time in the restaurant world. Episode 2. It’s about believing in something to believing in. It’s crushing. But we all need something to believe in. We need to know why we allow ourselves to be crushed. The heart breaks
