@DarranMarshall Agree and disagree it’s a staffing issue but it’s potential staff not wanting to work for a poor management locally!! This isn’t a money thing as they are offering 9.60 per hour to even those under 21! NT can pedal the nonsense all they wish simply a management issue!
@decoservice @ILoveNorthCoast 100% agreed… made the whole of carrick a rede redundant now complaining because no one want to work for them…locally they are making a joke of a really good national organisation…
@Davidontour1@BBCNewsNI They made them all redundant the whole team years of experience!! Giants Causeway making no money now so they have to push for other sources!! The reason it won’t open is due to poor management nothing to do with recruitment challenges that’s peddling an world of nonsense!!
@AllisterMcB1981 @BBCNewsNI I disagree… NT Paid fairly especially to those under 21 as they paid them all at the 21 rate that’s a fact! This apparent lack of staff is solely down to the management left, they all need to have a look at themselves no one want to work for them!! That to is a fact!
@castlerock965@BBCNewsNI@NationalTrustNI Made the whole of Carrick a rede staff redundant as well after leaving them@on furlough for a year! Didn’t have the gumption to open it back up again despite being given clear ideas how to do so… poor management from within the region of the north coast! Disgusting behaviour!
@Davidontour1@BBCNewsNI Every day at least 15 staff are required between car parks ticketing and safety staff on the bridge! Any less is an absolute suicide mission…
@denis_mcneill@BBCNewsNI@GCausewayNT More do do with the fact they paid off all the carrick a rede staff Denis, lined their own pockets and are now regretting it! GC not making no money now so NT are clambering to make money in the area….
If you’re interested in a wonderful place to work with outstanding views and summer work here’s the place! Pity the management couldn’t run a bath!

So today marks the last day of my time with the National Trust (reluctantly)!! I had a great 5 1/2 years working with some awesome people and learnt so much. I’d like to think as a team we made some great changes to the place which will stand in good stead when things return.
Imagine if your kitchen had this view. Last summer @jamesmartinchef & @chefpaulrankin filmed @NTCarrickarede for @ITV series Islands to Highlands. Watch today at 2pm as they cook a tasty salmon and chat to #nationaltrustni Operations Manager, Matthew about this special place.
