Pulse is officially a social platform now. Fair enough, it has communities, games, a radio station and enough infrastructure to frighten a small council.
The website still thinks it’s a dating app.
That’s tomorrow’s problem. Tonight’s problem is why I’m still awake.

Building lets me disappear into the problem until it works. Posting requires me to stop, explain what I’ve done and resist fixing three more things before anyone sees it.

@JonBuildsHQ Exactly. More traffic doesn’t fix the leak, it just lets you watch more people leave in real time.

If the value isn’t immediately clear and the next step doesn’t feel trustworthy, the analytics only become a more detailed explanation of the problem.

@ripa_codes Honestly, I’d focus on finishing something small and putting it in front of real people.

AI, sales, networking and audience all matter, but shipping gives you something real to learn from.

Everything before that can become a very sophisticated form of procrastination.

I was going to bed, but made the mistake of opening Applications and discovered Pulse now has an admin council, a radio control room and a publishing department.

I built a dating app...

It appears to have achieved middle management.

I listen closely to the problem, then decide what actually belongs in the product.

Occasionally Pulse ignores both of us and grows another subsystem.

It’s 1am and I’ve realised Pulse Radio took our “one stream, all connected” philosophy far too literally.

A server keeps it live. Someone can control it remotely and talk over the music.

Romantic, really.

I still don’t know who asked for infrastructure.
