Impatient optimist. Works w/ tech cos, natl foundations & govt to increase college completion + labor market succes for low-income youth & working adults.
Remember and honor Andrew Goodman, James Chaney and Michael Schwerner and the price they paid when they were murdered in Mississippi exactly sixty years ago today while fighting for all of our voting rights:
Under the three-Reichs-and-you’re-out rule, Trump should be on the bench. Yet he keeps swinging — and this week provided a sobering measure of how numb we have become to his undeniably fascist rhetoric. My latest for @PostOpinions https://t.co/kQ8x7Q237f
Chag Purim sameach to all of those in the Jewish community! Let today be filled with joy, hamantashen, and costumes.
As the Megillah is reread, let's remind ourselves of the incredible bravery of Esther and the resilience of the Jewish community.
@GoldieStandard Since students were so ill-prepared for #highered *before* pandemic, (please see: enrollment in remedial ed; 6 year grad rates; etc.) I cannot see how the doubling of K12 absenteeism bodes well for student success (or our economy).

@SecCardona Runaway tuition costs -- costs which are neither commensurate w/ learner outcomes nor wage growth -- are to blame for ballooning student debt. Until we hold institutions accountable for their costs and the outcomes they produce, our nation’s debt will remain unsustainable.
Students of color often lack the same resources, support, and opportunities as white students to succeed in higher education. On the 60th anniversary of the March on Washington, we’re reminded to continue our pursuit of racial equity in the US and #HigherEd.
