What an utterly disgraceful series of events, which ultimately cost a town its football club. Now those involved are patting each other on the backs as they've decided to go ahead with it after all. Too late for Rosyth FC, but who cares when it all comes down to making 💰💰
Without the investment from Lidl, Rosyth FC - who last week announced their decision to fold - were left in a position which they say was not financially sustainable. https://t.co/PwwyLavBI4 🔗 Link below
FT: @Rosyth_FC 2-2 @PrestonAthletic
Entertaining 2nd half as both teams battled hard for possession. The visitors had chances to extend their lead but were unable to convert. Rosyth stepped it up a gear and made it all square through Healy. Preston didn’t gave the hosts a minute to savour their equaliser before super sub Laidlaw struck to retain Preston’s lead. More drama ensued as Rosyth’s Ness was sent off for the 2nd yellow card. Despite going down to 10 men, Rosyth adapted well and were very well organised. The game had plenty of action and hard tackles before Rosyth were awarded a late penalty just inside the box which Healy blasted high into the net from the spot for his brace. A hard thought draw from Rosyth who showed plenty of character to fight back, especially after being down to 10 men. Preston Athletic played great football but will rue the missed chances they had to kill off the game.

A fine win for Rosyth earlier against an in-form Saints side. 3 up after 17 mins, they then missed a pen, but Hampson got his 4th before the break. Saints pulled one back early on and Rosyth went down to 10, but they never really threatened. An assured win for The Rec 👏
