PhD in geography from @ukgeog: beauty, nature, place, emancipation in the Anthropocene. Jesus person (but not like that). Partner to Emily; dad of three.
This is why I am getting my PhD in geography. Because if we actually listened to our connections to place and to beauty — and the Holy that reveals itself there — we would not find ourselves in the predicaments we’re in now.
I consistently find the Holy in places mundane, unglamorous, and painfully slow. And as I keep finding them I wonder more if the Holy is not just in those things, moments, places, but both in the paying attention, and the space between what is noticed and who is noticing.

And it probably doesn’t count since it wasn’t the whole band, but an honorable mention for Mac Powell on “God of Wonders.”
Appreciating the new song "Jesus and John Wayne" by googly eyes, @joyoladokun, and @AllisonPonthier. Wouldn't be surprised to find out @kkdumez and her book by the same name were an influence.

hating the patriarchy is not hating men, patriarchy is a ✨system✨ that men benefit from, but is also slowly killing them.
male loneliness, having high suicide rates....it all goes back to the same bad system. they're just gaslit into believing it's good for them.
