@JohnJohnStewart@juhanluik@Dorsetsaferroad So youre saying motor vehicle drivers need to receive better safety education and be more consistently punished and deterred from causing the uptick in accidents?
@SocEnvJustice I have. It's based on "digital media
analysis of over 570k posts along with offline face-to-face engagement with 47 residents and 24 interviews
with local journalists, community leaders, activists and politicians in...three locations". So it's an opinion piece on opinions.
@OpenChiswickW4 Again, well observed. In Haringey anti LTN demonstration(s) were very poorly attended & placards that appeared mixed faux libertarian 'Together', anti vax and climate change deniers. Sadiq Khan spotted it correctly at the time. If you're anti LTN, look across your front line. ๐คข
@OpenChiswickW4 Well observed. I think what they mean is public transport should be made to be more like a single-occupancy four wheeled metal box that lives outside their home when not in use and takes them door to door.
@Outsidetheline4@SaveColumbiaRd1@LutfurRahmanTH To clarify for the hard of understanding, the manifesto pledged something that has been ruled illegal. The point being you canโt complain democracy has been subverted because an illegal manifesto pledge isnโt happening. Plus LTNs were funded by democratically elected politicians.
@JohnJohnStewart LTN funding from TfL/DfT, implementing policy of democratically elected politicians. @ local govt level if councils reverse investment over short timescale without considering GLA/national policy, it makes no sense. Would be a license for corrupt populists to waste public funds.
