I don't like being around cheap people.
Not people who are careful with money. That's smart.
But people who are cheap. Who operate from scarcity. Who pinch every penny out of fear.
That energy drains me.
And I've learned over 15 years: The energy you surround yourself with determines your trajectory.
Cheap people have a scarcity mindset. They think there's not enough.
Not enough money. Not enough opportunity. Not enough success to go around.
So they hoard. They save obsessively. They stress over small amounts.
And that energy is contagious.
Spend time with cheap people and you'll start thinking like them.
You'll start questioning every purchase. Feeling guilty for spending. Operating from fear.
That mindset will kill your growth.
Because growth requires risk. Investment. Belief that there's more available.
And cheap people don't believe that.
I want to be around people with abundance mindset.
People who tip well. Who invest in experiences. Who spend on what matters.
Not because they're reckless. But because they believe in their ability to create more.
That's the energy that compounds.
When you're around abundant people, you start thinking abundantly.
You take bigger risks. You invest in yourself. You believe there's always another opportunity.
And that belief creates the reality.
If I spend $20k on a night out,
A cheap person says: "You're wasting money. You could go somewhere cheaper."
An abundant person says: "Good for you. You earned it. Enjoy it."
Those are two completely different energies.
And I choose to surround myself with the second one.
Because abundant people celebrate your wins. They encourage your growth. They believe there's enough for everyone.
Cheap people? They judge your spending. They question your decisions. They operate from fear.
And fear is expensive.
It costs you opportunities. Experiences. Growth.
I'd rather spend $15k on a night out with abundant people than save $15k staying home with cheap ones.
Because the energy you absorb determines your future.
Here's what I've noticed: Money follows abundant energy.
When you operate from abundance - when you believe there's always more - you attract more.
You take the risks that pay off. You invest in the opportunities that compound. You build the relationships that open doors.
But when you operate from scarcity - when you hoard and stress and fear - you repel opportunity.
You miss the risks that would've paid off. You skip the investments that would've compounded. You avoid the relationships that would've helped.
Scarcity creates more scarcity.
Abundance creates more abundance.
That's why I'm intentional about who I spend time with.
I want to be around people who:
- Believe in their ability to make more money
- Invest in experiences, not just savings
- Celebrate others' success instead of resenting it
- Operate from possibility, not fear
Those people lift you up. They expand your thinking. They make you better.
Cheap people? They pull you down. They contract your thinking. They make you smaller.
I don't have time for that energy anymore.
I've worked too hard to let scarcity mindset infect my thinking.
So here's my advice: Audit your circle.
Who are you spending time with? What's their relationship with money?
Are they abundant or scarce? Do they celebrate or judge? Do they expand or contract your thinking?
If they're operating from scarcity, distance yourself.
Not because they're bad people. But because that energy will hold you back.
Find the abundant ones. The people who believe there's always more.
The people who invest in experiences. Who take calculated risks. Who believe in their ability to create.
Those are your people.
Because the energy you surround yourself with becomes your energy.
And your energy determines your life.
Choose abundance.
Thank you for everything Brook Lopez. Milwaukee Bucks legend.
We will never forget your contributions to the championship in Milwaukee.
One of the best was game 5 of the ECFs:
33 Points
7 Rebounds
4 Blocks
The best 1-2 punch in college basketball that not enough people are talking about is Wisconsin's combo of John Blackwell and John Tonje.
That duo will perform on a big stage today as the Badgers travel to Mackey Arena to face Purdue.
1 PM ET. CBS.
BREAKING: #Wisconsin has landed four-star QB Carter Smith, the No. 92 prospect in the country
Smith is now the highest-rated commit for the #Badgers in the 2025 class

Ashton Jeanty made Washington State's defense look like a JV squad. I've never seen more forced missed tackles on a RB tape.
Just watch these 5 clips. #RB1
