I just watched Netflix's new documentary, The Great Hack, which is a fantastic film that discusses not just Cambridge Analytica but the place of data privacy in our democracy. It features the bravery of one whistleblower. I urge all of you to watch it because it is important.
Solid #AppleEvent today. Surprisingly, they really undercut Netflix with the Apple TV+ subscription price of $4.99, which I am eagerly waiting for to see Amazing Stories. Arcade looks awesome too at that price. iPhone 11 Pro cameras look amazing. Finally an always-on Apple Watch.
@Wiltster You're absolutely right. If you're not paying for something then you are actually offering yourself as the payment for the product. You sign away your rights for whatever petty service you get. The genius of all this is that there's no need for hacking - people do it voluntarily.
Entire concept of Facebook was flawed from the beginning. Mark Zuckerberg's idea, from a guy who looked like an alien at Congress, was for us to upload photos to share. This has unleashed a toxic culture of comparison and made an entire generation unhappy and lonely. Truly sad.
@TheJunkPicker I envy you. Sometimes I wish I could just give it all up and go to some deserted place with no technology even just for a little while. It would be so liberating.
Reading is one of the great joys of life and has mattered to me deeply since childhood. Books open up our minds to different worlds, perspectives and people we may not have considered. Maybe if people read more books we wouldn't have so many problems in the world today #amreading
One reason why I love Twitter is it’s not like Facebook or Instagram where people are rushing to show off their lives. In spite of its pockets of hatred, abuse and disinformation Twitter can be a wonderful place of ideas and discourse like it has been for me. No filters required!
There was a precious innocence to life before Facebook and social media that'll never come back. Those around in the past at this time know what I'm talking about and feel it too. It's the idea that life was more meaningful back then. More technology we have the lonelier we get.
Anyone who's followed my feed for a while knows I've been super excited about Apple Glasses for years now. It will be a truly revolutionary product that will push the world forward. Since I've been reflecting on this I see glasses everywhere. Such massive potential! #AppleEvent
It's hard to explain it but Apple isn't dumb. They know wearables are the future. They started five years ago with Apple Watch and they're slowly building on it over time. The technology feels almost invisible with AirPods. Apple Glasses will be even more invisible. #AppleEvent
@burnthegamer While aesthetics are important to a degree, functionality is more so. It's paving the way for next year with their revolutionary AR system on the next iPhone.
@realLeoJames You would get an 11 because they don't sell the iPhone X anymore. I have an iPhone X and love it, as well as an Apple Watch so I highly recommend that combination. They work really well together. It's even better if you use AirPods too, then the fun really starts.
