@andrewwoodroffe Cry me a river. I made it very clear I only did so little because I lacked the drive and determination others have. Hats off to them for being better than me. In the 5 weeks before I did 30km a week avg. I’ve also said that or similar in many other places.
@H00TCHY @BarryCentreLeft@sharrond62 She has a 8-12% genetic advantage. If she competed in the men’s category she would be terrible, but in the women’s category her unfair advantage makes her “elite” but not the best. If someone rides a bike race with a motor in their bike but only comes second is it still cheating?
@IRONMANtri Because it’s been mention on slow twitch I’ll just add Kat’s actually just joking and playing around saying “come on” there was nothing too it, they had all just chatted as they racked. Don’t read too much into a quick camera shot!
@ItsKateActually @sharrond62@NationalNOW But plenty of trans women have won events in the female category they would never have won pre transitioning to the male category…that’s the advantage. The only argument for this is inclusion. The “it’s fair” argument is nonsenses.
@ItsKateActually @sharrond62@NationalNOW That’s just not true. Strength advantage is not fully removed. Skeletal advantage is never removed. Trans women aren’t dominating because no trans woman had enough of an original advantage over the very best genetic females because they just aren’t as good.
@JumboVismaRoad@rogla This is utterly appalling behaviour and sportsmanship from Jumbo and Roglic. Anyone with eyes can see you are villainizing a young rider for doing nothing wrong. Shame on you both.
@emmaECarney @MooreFutbolFa @ProTriNews @tjford14 @CrowieAlexander@TriAustralia I actually had a really nice chat with him at the games 🤷♂️ Though I also have no idea about the politics of Australian Tri so won’t wade in further
@mrgodive@tri247 And the helmet isn’t undone. I’m at the games working on triathlon and everyone here thinks it was a terrible decision. Happy to wait for the hearing result though. The initial appeal was upheld
@mrgodive@tri247 “All athletes must have their helmet securely fastened from the time they remove their bike from the rack before the start of the bike leg, until after they have placed their bike on the rack after the finish of the bike leg”
