2/ OLEDs run a pixel refresh when in standby, and when you turn them off this prevents this from happening. I have a Sony, but here’s a video warning against it with an LG OLED: https://t.co/X4TA596EY2 After leaving it on stand by over night everything was back to normal!
1/ In an effort to reduce power usage, I added a smart plug on my entertainment center which was turning my OLED tv off in the night. I found out that this is a big no-no! Shadow marks started appearing on the TV screen 😱.
